Tommaso Bianchi remains with the Campi Reali Cantù first team for the second consecutive season. The libero from Figline Valdarno returned to the club where he grew up last year after his experience at Valbreggia Volley, making the double jump from Serie C to Serie A2 Credem Banca. He will therefore serve as Hoffer’s assistant for the Cantù team’s first Serie A3 Credem Banca season.

Coach Tommaso Invernici commented on the confirmation: “I’m happy to have retained Tommaso because it was important to maintain some continuity with those who were already here previously. I’m sure his desire to succeed will be a huge help to the team.”

These are the player’s words: “I’m very happy to stay in Cantù. Last year I made significant progress, so having confirmation and picking up where I left off is definitely different than starting from scratch. Let’s hope the relatively solid foundation I’ve laid bears fruit. On a personal level, I’d like to be able to carve out more space for myself than last season, when I knew I’d struggle a lot, at least for the first three quarters of the season. I know I have a strong libero in front of me, but I’m motivated to work hard and try to gain space. As a team, I don’t know the Serie A3 championship very well: the level might be lower than Serie A2, but I don’t think it will be that much. It will certainly be a challenging season, but we’re a young group, so working together will also be great. Of course, we won’t be playing just for the sake of playing, but we’ll do it to stay in the division.”
