The final act of the Credem Banca SuperLega 5th Place Playoffs offers a thrilling best-of-three clash. Two top teams, who until a few weeks ago were key contenders for the Scudetto, are competing. Game 1 is scheduled for Friday, May 1, 2026, at 6:00 PM, between Itas Trentino and Valsa Group Modena at the BTS Arena in Trento. Marcelo Mendez’s men finished the regular season in third place but reached the playoffs for the Italian title without the injured Alessandro Michieletto, also losing Daniele Lavia in the quarterfinals, before bowing out in three games to Civitanova. Alberto Giuliani’s team finished fourth in the Regular Season and battled until Game 5 in the Emilian derby in the quarterfinals against Piacenza. A close and exciting series with a bitter ending at the PalaPanini for the yellows. Having advanced directly to the semifinals of the 5th-place playoffs due to their better first-round finish, the Trentino team eliminated Monza in two games (but lost opposite hitter Theo Faure to injury), while the Modena team advanced to the quarterfinals, defeating Cuneo and Milan.
