Andrea Truocchio’s Bianconeri adventure continues, the first time Sonepar Padova has confirmed his place in the 2026/27 season. A key player in the central defense, the youngster is preparing for his fourth consecutive season with the team.
“For me, the Padova jersey represents trust, growth, and a tremendous opportunity. From the first day I arrived here, I sensed the identity of a club that isn’t afraid to invest in hard work and youth, and that’s the best for an athlete. I’m tied to this place by the atmosphere, the enthusiasm of the fans at the Kioene Arena, the professionalism of the club, and a group of people who work well with us and share the same values every day.”
Looking back at the season just ended, Andrea recounts the team’s accomplishments and some personal regrets.
“It’s been an intense and stimulating season, in which I feel I’ve made a further leap in quality and maturity. If I have to think of a moment I’m particularly proud of, it’s our ability as a group to unite and show character in the most crucial matches, demonstrating that we can compete head-to-head with anyone.” Not everything, however, went as hoped. “If I could change anything, it would be the matches against Monza, where we could have performed better and perhaps returned to the playoffs, which would have been an excellent personal and team achievement.”
Truocchio had no hesitation about his renewal.
“I didn’t have many doubts because I feel my journey here in Padua isn’t over yet. I was convinced by the solidity of the technical project and the continuity of the work with the staff. When you feel that the club has complete faith in you and puts you in the ideal conditions to push yourself to the max and improve day after day, staying becomes the most natural and right choice for my career.”
Having put aside his reflections on the past, the Juventus center-back is now already looking ahead with clear ideas.
I’m looking forward to next season with immense enthusiasm and a huge hunger for success. Personally, my goal is to further consolidate my performance at this level, hone my technical skills, and become an increasingly solid point of reference on the pitch and in the locker room. For the team, I expect to raise the bar. We want to build on the excellent work we’ve done this year to build an even more ambitious group capable of bringing great satisfaction to the city and our fans.
