Four sets and nearly two hours of play were needed to determine the second finalist of the 30th edition of the Del Monte® Supercoppa SuperLega: facing Sir Susa Scai Perugia, winner of the first semifinal, will be Rana Verona, who defeated Cucine Lube Civitanova 3-1 in a remake of the 2024/25 Coppa Italia Final. A comeback for the Cucine Lube team, who, trailing by two sets, seemed to have found the right weapons to secure a different outcome to this match, failed. In the end, however, Verona triumphed, and will now have the chance to play in their second final within a month of the Coppa Italia Final at the Unipol Arena.
The evening’s top scorer was Aleksandar Nikolov, Civitanova’s true inspiration: the Bulgarian spiker scored 26 points, slightly bettering Noumory Keita (Rana Verona), the top scorer for the Verona team with 24 points. Bottolo (16) and Darlan (18) were among the cooks. This is a unique Final for a final event that promises to be a spectacular one: tomorrow, at 3:00 PM, the curtain rises on the match on Rai 2 and VBTV that will award the thirtieth edition of the trophy.

Mattia Boninfante (Cucine Lube Civitanova): “In the end, it went like the other matches against them: all tight, all point-for-point. They knew how to push in the first two sets, and they did well to break back after the third set. Credit to their team for the way they played. We’ll take what’s good and carry it with us towards the playoffs.”
Lorenzo Cortesia (Rana Verona): “It’s great to confirm our position after the victory in the Italian Cup; reaching another final is very important. A victory against a team we struggled against in the league. We did well to maintain the right pace until the end.”
