The youngster born in 2002 originally from Cuneo arrives in the Marche for the first time and goes to reinforce the group of red and white spikers for the 2023/2024 season. After the youth team in Verona, D’Amato grew up in Cuneo where he made his debut in Seria A and played in the A2 championship before moving to Puglia in October 2021, in Casarano. The spiker continues his growth path in the Blue Group, with a transfer last year to Calabria, in Palmi, where he finishes the championship in third place, then losing in the first round of the Play Offs against his ex-team, Casarano.
A new adventure begins for you, the first in the Marche, “I had never played in Macerata but I knew the team and the club, I had also heard good things about it from Azaria Gonzi, who played there twice”, says Davide D’ Amato, “It was a quick negotiation. When this possibility was offered to me, I called Marsili, who was my teammate last year, and he confirmed the good impressions he had”. In Macerata you will then find several players crossed as opponents in the Blue Group, “In particular Casaro and Zornetta, who are important players, I also met Sanfilippo years ago, but the whole team has great quality. I haven’t had a chance to talk to coach Castellano yet but everyone spoke well of him and I can’t wait to be able to work together”.
