Marco Soncini: “We are ready for something beautiful, the play-off semifinal is coming to Reggio”
The volleyball player of Domotek Volley Reggio Calabria talks about the upcoming challenge, Sunday at home against the Piedmontese team Acqui Terme, the public and the desire to continue fighting
Domotek Volley Reggio Calabria is ready to live another page of history. After a journey full of emotions, the team is preparing for the play-off semifinal, and Marco Soncini, one of the protagonists of this season, does not hide his enthusiasm.
“We are fine, despite the bad luck we had with Lorenzo Esposito – I send him a big hug – and with Alessandro Stefano”, Soncini begins. “Despite everything, we have moved forward and we are very happy with what we have achieved. However, we are not satisfied yet: we want to continue fighting.”
The next challenge will be tough, but the team is charged. “We expect a very difficult match against a good team. I don’t know the opponent very well, I only know that there is Petras, a very good player against whom I have already played. My teammates told me that it is a strong team, but in the semifinals we do not expect anything easy.”
One of the engines of Domotek is the crowd, which in the last home match created an unforgettable atmosphere. “There were 2,402 people, it was the best match I have ever played in”, says Soncini. “I am confident that this time there will be even more people: we need them, their support is too strong!”
