He “tasted” Serie A2 Credem Banca in the 2018/2019 season with the Aeronautica Militare Club Italia Crai Roma (together with the two former Cantù players Matheus Motzo and Kristian Gamba), but a bad injury kept him away from the fields for several months. But now the time has come for Gabriele Maletto to make that dream come true. He will be the one to support Nicola Candeli at the center of the Campi Reali Cantù net.
“Gabriele is a guy we have been following for a couple of years – says Coach Alessio Zingoni –. He is a player who has done very well in recent seasons, and in my opinion he is ready for the Credem Banca A2 Series. He is a middle blocker who prefers blocking and serving, also alternating float and hybrid, and has a good attack base. He is a guy who is very available to work, very passionate about what he does, and eager to learn and work. He knows that it is his first year in Credem Banca A2 Series, but it is certainly an interesting challenge both for him first and foremost as a player, and for us, having followed him for a long time has made us very happy, and we are absolutely pleased with that.
