Two-time Olympic champion Barthelemy Chinenyeze says goodbye to Cucine Lube Civitanova after three seasons as a point of reference at the center. For the French athlete, a Coppa Italia won in the current year, the triumph in the Play Off 5th place last season and the head-to-heads in the 2022/23 and 2024/25 Scudetto Final series with Trento, in the 2022 and 2023 Super Cup Finals with Perugia and in the 2025 CEV Challenge Cup Final with Lublin
The sweat shed on the pitch in the three years of his stay in red and white and the tears at the end of Game 4 of the Scudetto Final at the Eurosuole Forum say a lot about the intensity of the bond between Babar and the Italian vice-champion team. The farewell message from the French center further clarifies the concept.
Barthelemy Chinenyeze: “After three years in Civitanova I can literally consider Lube a second home. I have lived incredible seasons working hard and growing a lot alongside magnificent athletes and talented young people. I thank the owners and the club from the bottom of my heart because the trust of the Club allowed me to win an important tournament like the Coppa Italia. This path was favored by the great attention to detail by the red and white staff, the best in the world for me, and by the support of the fans who supported us in every match making each of us feel special. I hope to come back to visit you soon, thanks to all of you!”.
