The Cuban with an Italian sports passport Edwin Arguelles Sanchez is the new opposite of Virtus Fano.
Known by all as “Eddy”, the twenty-two year old new Virtus player comes from Porto Viro after having played in the past in Lecce, Santa Croce (coach Mastrangelo, director Coscione) and Monza.
Fano’s call for Arguelles Sanchez was a pleasant surprise: “I want to thank the club for their trust – says Eddy – I’m ready to work and get involved”.
Arguelles was born in Havana and, at the age of 7-8, he began playing volleyball: “Then at a certain point my father decided to take me to Italy, to Monza in particular, where I started in the C series. Little by little I grew up until I played for three years with the youth national team, here I met Federico Roberti. My first real experience away from home was in Santa Croce, and then I went to Lecce the following year”.
