Francesco Zoppellari returns to wear the Padua jersey in view of the 2025_26 SuperLega Championship. For the 1997-born setter, who grew up in the Pallavolo Padova youth system, this will be his fifth season — not consecutive — with the black and white team. Last year he played for Perugia, with whom he won both the Italian Super Cup and the Champions League. Always linked to the Padua club, Zoppellari made his SuperLega debut with Padova in the 2016_17 season. He gained experience in Serie A2 with Roma, Civita Castellana, Spoleto and Lagonegro, as well as an international stint in Belgium with Lindemans Aalst, before returning home in 2021. His list of achievements also includes a Serie A2 Italian Cup won in 2018 and the gold medal at the 2019 Universiade.

“Padua is first and foremost my home. Coming back means embracing an environment where I grew up, with people with whom I shared so many years, starting from the youth sector. – Francesco Zoppellari began – And then Padua has a unique dimension: you feel it, you live it every day. There is a strong sense of belonging that characterizes the club and that I believe I embody perfectly”.

Referring to the next season he then added: “What I expect is to entertain the fans. I remember well how in past years a very strong bond was created with them and with the city itself.
