He’s ready to become a symbol of Perugia! With a two-year extension with President Gino Sirci’s club, spiker Oleh Plotnytskyi will reach nine consecutive seasons with the Bianconeri, equaling Massimo Colaci’s all-time record for tenure with the club!

He joined the Block Devils in the 2019/2020 season at just over twenty years old, after two seasons in Monza where he showcased his technical skills, especially his lethal left-handed serve, in the Italian league. The Ukrainian striker has established himself at the Bianconeri, becoming one of the key figures in the club’s numerous successes over the years!

He knows he’s becoming a part of the club’s history, a part of Perugia’s history, which for him is now home: “I think beating Max’s record is impossible, because he won every trophy with Perugia, from the first in the club’s history to the last, right up to today. Of course, he remains number one! Even if someone were to stay longer than him or win more trophies, this story cannot be equaled or beaten! As for me, I am very proud that I still have the opportunity to wear the Perugia jersey, to play for Perugia, in our home. It’s a very important thing in volleyball; not everyone has this opportunity, and I have it!”

World-class numbers for the Juventus spiker: Impressive numbers for the home team’s Sir Susa Scai Perugia striker, who in seven consecutive seasons, in the Superleague championship alone, between the regular season and playoffs, has played 206 games for the Bianconeri and hit 885 break points. 1,443 winning attacks, including 164 blocks. But his most devastating offensive weapon is his serve: first place overall in the Italian championship’s server rankings with 306 aces in seven seasons!

Not only that: in the SuperLega statistics, the Ukrainian spiker is also in the top five in reception, ranking fourth with 850 perfect receptions.

The Juventus star has also collected a slew of MVP awards in seven seasons, 43 in the Italian league alone, in addition to numerous individual awards in various Champions League campaigns. He was also included in the final “dream team” of Europe’s premier club competition as the best spiker for the last two consecutive seasons.
His growth has been exponential in his years at SIR, not only in terms of technical performance but also in terms of leadership.
