Another talented youngster joins Essence Hotels Fano.

Following the Bulgarian duo of Palev and Karyagin, here’s Matteo Meschiari. A spiker born in 2002 in Modena, coming from Cantù, the new Virtus player will be one of Marco Bonitta’s top four attackers. A quality addition for an athlete ready to give his all for the Virtus cause: “I chose Fano,” the Modena native begins, “because I strongly believe in the club’s project. Aspiring to the top of Serie A2 is a stimulating challenge.”

In the previous season with Cantù, Meschiari often stood out, racking up a solid tally of points (253, with 13 double-digit points) despite a less than stellar season: “I’d like to grow and improve in Fano,” the spiker continues. “I’m sure that the high-caliber roster, as well as the coaching staff, will allow me to achieve my personal goals. Of course, everything will require intense and hard work every day, but that doesn’t scare me; on the contrary, it gives me even more energy.”

Before Cantù, Meschiari also played in Serie A3 (Castellana Grotte, Sarroch, Brugherio, and Prata) and, at a very young age, again in Serie A2 with Reggio Emilia and Mondovì: “I’ve always given my all in every team I’ve played for,” the Emilian concludes, “and I’ll do the same with Fano, naturally putting the team’s well-being first.” Matteo Meschiari was impressed by the welcome he received from the club and the fans: “It’s been an excellent impression,” the spiker concludes. “I can’t wait to meet my new teammates. Right now, there’s great potential to do well and bring joy to the fans.”
