Following the release of the dates and format for the 2025/26 Credem Banca SuperLega—complete with events—attention now shifts to the second national championship, the 2025/26 Credem Banca Serie A2, which, at the end of the season, will determine the team promoted to the Credem Banca SuperLega.
Among the new features of the 2025/26 Serie A2 season is the decision to no longer play the Del Monte® Coppa Italia A2 at the end of the season, as in previous seasons, but at the end of the first half of the season. This will see the top eight teams qualify at the halfway point, returning to the format with one-off matches for the Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and Final.

An additional slot has also been added to the Serie A2 Playoffs: eight teams will participate at the end of the regular season, with a promotion pass up for grabs. The “classic” bracket thus returns, with the team that finishes first in the Regular Season qualifying directly for the semifinals.
The Del Monte® Supercoppa will instead be played between the winner of the Regular Season (which will have the right to play the match at home) and the winner of the Del Monte® Coppa Italia Serie A2. If both rights are held by the same team, the second-highest-ranked team at the end of the second half of the Regular Season will advance.
