Giampaolo Medei’s red and whites are preparing for their third joint training session, the first away from their home arena. Tomorrow, Thursday, September 25th, at approximately 5:30 p.m., Cucine Lube Civitanova will be in Umbria, at the PalaBarton Energy, to compete against Angelo Lorenzetti’s Sir Susa Scai Perugia.
In the previous match, played on the afternoon of Wednesday, September 17th in Civitanova, the Italian runners-up prevailed 3-1 (the final and decisive set was played to 15 points in a tie-break). It was a convincing debut for the Cucine Lube team, who repeated their feat at the Palas in the match on Tuesday, September 23rd, coming from behind to win 3-1 against Romano Giannini’s Banca Macerata Fisiomed, a team filled with athletes trained at the Academy Volley Lube.
At Pian di Massiano, a Lube team still without its internationals will present itself with Francesco Bisotto, Mattia Boninfante, Noa Duflos-Rossi, Nazar Hetman, a Ukrainian who has been training with the red and white team for days, Eric Loeppky, Santiago Orduna, Marko Podrascanin (who is only warming up) and Davi Tenorio. The group should also include three young players from the Lube Volley Academy: middle blocker Mario Wang, who is preparing with the first team, his teammate Federico Amadio and spiker/opposite hitter Mattia Penna.
