Cisterna Volley’s official season resumes on Saturday, April 4th at 6:00 PM at the Allianz Cloud, competing in the quarterfinals of the fifth-place playoffs. Morato’s team will face Milan, eliminated from the Scudetto race by Rana Verona. Game 2 is scheduled for April 8th at the Palasport on Via Delle Province (8:30 PM). A possible Game 3 will be played in Milan on Sunday, April 12th.

Allianz Milan will face Cisterna after the 2026 CEV Challenge Cup final against Belgian team Lindemans Aalst: the first leg will be played in Belgium this evening (8:30 PM), with the return leg in Milan on April 1st.

Cisterna, for its part, continues to train, including gym sessions and technical work, with the goal of reaching peak form for April 4th.

Efe Bayram: “These will be important and difficult matches, and we’re really committed to performing well. We’re still working to get to our peak condition. Mentally, we’ve recharged during the week-long break after the Dubai tournament. Physically, we’re in good shape and fully equipped, and everyone is available to the coach, which is crucial. We know Milan; they’re a top-notch team: they also demonstrated this in the games against Verona in the Scudetto playoffs. This season, they’ve beaten us both first and second leg, and we’re truly committed to reversing this negative trend,” the captain emphasized. “The unknown factor, if we can call it that, is the long period without competitive matches: mentally, you lose a bit of the competitive drive that the Regular Season gives you, playing so many games every month; and from this perspective, Milan, also playing the CEV final, will certainly arrive better prepared. Next week will be crucial to be at our best for the first match; it will be crucial because, in addition to working on ourselves, we’ll also be thinking about our opponent, focusing on the first match at the Allianz Cloud.”
