In the CEV Champions League, Perugia eliminated Las Palmas with a three-set second-leg victory and qualified for the Final Four in Turin, while Civitanova bowed out of Europe’s premier club competition with a 3-0 loss in the second leg of their quarterfinals in Poland away to Zawiercie. Piacenza, on the other hand, excelled in Slovenia’s CEV Cup, qualifying for the final with a 3-1 away win against Ljubljana.
