High-level experience, personality, and a desire to always get involved: Atlantide Pallavolo Brescia has announced the arrival of setter Nicola Salsi, the new white-and-blue playmaker for the upcoming Credem Banca Serie A2 season.

Born in 1997 and 186 cm tall, born in Reggio Emilia, Salsi brings to Brescia a remarkable career spanning the Superleague, Serie A2, and international experience. Having developed in the Modena youth academy, with whom he won an Under-20 Scudetto and made his Superleague debut, also winning the Italian Supercup, over the course of his career he has played for Club Italia, Siena, Lagonegro, Modena, Piacenza, and Cisterna, in addition to stints abroad with Hypo Tirol Innsbruck, where he won the league title and the Austrian Supercup. His list of achievements also includes a CEV Cup with Modena and two university gold medals with the Italian national team.

Coach Roberto Zambonardi’s team is an experienced and reliable player, adding to the roster an athlete accustomed to competing in high-level settings and particularly competitive leagues.

“I’m very happy to arrive in Brescia,” said Nicola Salsi. “I’ve found a serious club, with enthusiasm and a strong desire to do well. However, I believe we’ll have to approach the season with great humility: we’re not the favorites and will likely start as underdogs. There will be a lot of work to do every day in the gym, but this could become a strength.”
