“Some trains only come once in a lifetime: the call from Macerata is one of those opportunities you can’t refuse.” This is what Edoardo Marchetti thought when the club first called to offer him a spot on the team. The native Loreto native, born in 2007, will be one of the Banca Macerata Fisiomed middle blockers available to coach Giannini for next season.
Born in the Marche region, Edoardo thus makes a significant leap in quality by leaving Nova Volley Loreto, the club that trained him from the youth ranks and with which he built much of his sporting career. A journey marked by constant growth, sacrifice, and significant first experiences, including in the Serie B championship, crucial to his technical and character development.
However, this isn’t a completely new environment for Edoardo: the center-back is already very familiar with the Macerata environment, having participated in the Under-19 National Finals with these colors. This experience strengthened his bond with the club, which continues today with his entry into the first team.
“Joining a roster of this caliber is both a source of pride and a great responsibility,” says Marchetti. “I want to thank the club and the coach for this incredible opportunity. I expect an intense and competitive season, full of exciting challenges. I can’t wait to get started and contribute to the team.”
