Cucine Lube Civitanova’s eighth Scudetto Final appearance in the last nine playoffs and the philosophy of an increasingly youthful roster are the two most evident aspects of a project that also involves the growth of the red and white youth team. The Cuciniero youth team has been among the most organized and successful in the national scene for years.
To understand the scope of the Academy Volley Lube project, the numbers are helpful. In the 2025/26 season, the youth team participated in 25 championships, reaching the top of the Marche region with a strong group of U19 players in collaboration with Pallavolo Macerata. The red and white teams won the U17, U15, U13 6×6, and 3×3 regional titles, but finished second with the U14 group.
Their journey continued at the National Finals with significant placements. Worth noting was the 5th-place finish for the U17 and U15 teams, as well as the 5th-place finish for the U14 collective at the Del Monte® Boy League, while the U13 group, effectively eliminated by the Italian champions Treviso, entered the top eight of the competition. The overall results allowed the Academy to finish the season in fourth place overall among the best Italian youth sectors. Furthermore, seven red and white players were called up to the national teams in their respective categories for indoor volleyball and beach volleyball.
The flagship of the culinary company, as every year, was the School Project. The educational activities involved 1,400 local students and concluded at the Eurosuole Forum with the first, second, and third grade classes from the Regina Elena (Don Milani, San Giovanni Bosco, and Alighieri), Ugo Bassi (Zavatti and Garibaldi), My School, and Sant’Agostino schools in attendance.
The summer Volleyball Camps, led by qualified coaches, also enjoyed a successful attendance. Many talented youngsters and young volleyball enthusiasts flocked to the summer camp for the younger players and the residential camp for the older ones.
Giampiero Freddi (Head of the Lube Volleyball Academy): “This is the time to take stock and thank those who contribute to making the Lube Volleyball Academy great. I am grateful to the kids for their commitment, to the coaching staff for their professionalism, but also to the managers, collaborators, and families of our athletes for the passion with which they follow the kids and support us. That said, I want to express my satisfaction with the work done. Not only for the national and regional results, but also for the technical growth of the kids. The quality of our youth sector is high, and the mentality is the same as that of the first team.
