    The upcoming Del Monte Italian Cup Final 4 will see an important innovative change in the Tv broadcast. The main camera will cover the games in front of the benches, as basketball (especially NBA), giving a better experience to the audience.

     

    Sir Safety Conad Perugia, Itas Trentino, Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza e Allianz Milano will be on court tomorrow at Unipol Arena in Casalecchio di Reno Bologna, challenging looking out for the Del Monte Italian Cup 44th edition.

    An exciting edition of Final Four, with a couple of switches in the “classic” teams in last 10 years, without powerhouses as Leo Shoes PerkinElmen Modena and above all without defending champs Cucine Lube Civitanova.

    A cpuple of brand new rules for this edition, as 15 second timer for the serve, the new positionof the main camera, and the Video Check contro room far from the court.

    Sunday’s big final will be broaqdcasted by National TV Rai 2, the winner of the Cup will have direct access to CEV Cup.

    First Semifinal at 15.15 with winter champs Sir Safety Conad Perugia facing former head coach Lorenzo Bernardi’s Gas Sales BluEnergy Piacenza, while at 17.45 will take place the second semifinal between Itas Trentino and Allianz Milano, with Roberto Piazza’s team as underdog outsider, after they stunned Cucine Lube Civitanova in Quarterfinals.

    Sir Safety Conad Perugia clinched the first Del Monte Italian Cup Final spot, by defeating Gas Sales BluEnergy Piacenza in first semifinal. It was a very intense game, with former Perugia head coach Lorenzo Bernardi’s team who trailed after losing first set, tying the game by winning the second, but Wilfredo Leon powerful performance drove Nikola Grbic’s team to the 3-1 win, securing to the Block Devils the access to tomorrow’s big final game for the trophy, waiting the result of second semifinal between Itas Trentino and Allianz Milano.

    It was a clear win for Itas Trentino over Allianz Milano at Unipol Arena in Del Monte Italian Cup second Semifinal, securing the access to tomorrow’s big final versus Sir Safety Conad Perugia, a type of “classic” of italian volleyball in last seasons. Trento dominated the game since the first set, won clearly 25-14, with a great performance of Lavia. Milano tried in second and third to stay at same level of Trento but Angelo Lorenzetti’s team was almost perfect in all fundamentals, by winnin the two more sets of the challenge, and clinching the access to tomorrow’s big final versus Block Devils.

    Top scorer for Itas Trentino was Lavia with 19 points, for Allianz Milano the best was frenchman opposite Patry, with 8 points.

    Sir Safety Conad won his third Italian Cup at Unipol Arena in Casalecchio di Reno (BO), in front of the sell out crowd (4965 spectators, the 60% of the capacity) of enthusistic volleyball lovers.

    Nikola Grbic’s team defeated Itas Trentino in the big final, after winning first two sets, suffering the comeback of Angelo Lorenzetti’s team in the third, and sealing the win in fourth, with a 25-23 win.

    It was a great volleyball showdown at Unipol Arena for the Del Monte Italian Cup Final Four in this weekend, with two great Semifinals on saturday between Sir Safety Conad Perugia and Lorenzo Bernardi’s Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza, and between Itas Trentino and Allianz Milano, with the final happening of Del Monte Italian Cup Serie A3 final, which saw the win of Tinet Prata over Videx Grottazzolina.

    On today the big final put on stage once again the amazing show of the best volleyball in the world, with two of the top teams in the world, putting to italian volleyball atop the quality standings.
