Two days left until the Final Four Del Monte® Supercoppa in Cagliari, the first major event of the season, which will be staged just over a month from the World Championships in Slovenia and Poland, which ended with the triumph of the Azzurri: eight World Champions they will receive applause and a standing ovation from PalaPirastu during the two days of competition, Monday 31st and Tuesday 1st November.

Cucine Lube Civitanova, Sir Safety Susa Perugia, Itas Trentino and Valsa Group Modena (the first four of the last Regular Season, as well as the four Play Off semifinalists) will compete for the trophy, starting from the Semifinals on the first day (Monday 31 October), while on the second day (Tuesday 1 November) the 3rd / 4th Place Final is scheduled, played at 2.00 pm between the two losing Semifinalists, and the “main event”, the very final which will award the 27th Super Cup.

The four clubs are real “regulars” of the Serie A Final Four: that of Cagliari will be the eleventh time (twelve if we also consider the 2020/21 edition, played with the round trip formula) which will see Civitanova, Perugia , Trento and Modena protagonists of the final act of the Supercoppa or Coppa Italia.

The Italian Champions of Cucine Lube Civitanova will aim to get their fifth Super Cup, the last one dating back to 2014: the team coached by Chicco Blengini has considerably rejuvenated the average age during the summer market, but has maintained high ambitions and expectations with Chinenyeze, Nikolov, the World Champion Bottolo, as well as other young talents already protagonists of this start of the season. La Lube will reach the tricolor commitment after suffering two consecutive defeats, but also with the awareness of having held up against leaders Perugia in the advance of the 11th round of SuperLega Credem Banca, albeit with all the limitations of a running-in team that emerged. in the second part of the match, in addition to having suffered the loss on road with Vero Volley Monza which took place a few days earlier.

To access the last act of the competition, the Cucinieri will have to contend with another young team compared to last season, Valsa Group Modena, also hunting for its fifth trophy, the last dating back to 2018. The confirmed Andrea Giani will put onb court the Under22 European champion Rinaldi, Lagumdzija, Krick alongside senators Ngapeth, Bruno and Stankovic, as well as being able to count on the experience of Rossini and Marechal. The yellows come from the defeat on Wednesday 26 October in Trento, but they have shown that they can put high-profile rivals in difficulty. Perhaps the darkest evening was precisely that at the Eurosuole Forum in Civitanova, in which a flash defeat was achieved. The desire for revenge is great and in the Semifinal of the Super Cup everything will be reset: on Monday only the hunger for victory will count.

On the other side of the board, Sir Safety Susa Perugia and the reigning champions of Itas Trentino will face each other, a club that met eight times last season between Regular Season, Champions League (four comparisons between Pool and Semi-finals), Italian Cup Final and Semifinal Del Monte® Supercoppa. Therefore, the path through the events of the two teams could only begin with this challenge, with the Umbrians who will try to avenge the exclusion from last year’s Super Cup Semifinal. To do this, the bianconeri will be able to count on the contribution provided by the newcomers Semeniuk (European champion and MVP of the Superfinal) and Flavio Resende, as well as by the new technical guide Andrea Anastasi, who returned to Italy seventeen years after his last experience in the boot. . The Trentino team also focused on last season’s hard core, changing only one pawn in Lorenzetti’s chessboard, namely the free Under 20 European Champion Laurenzano, as well as several signings aimed at reinforcing the bench, including Dzavoronok, Pace and the returning Nelli.
Sir Safety Susa is chasing its fourth Super Cup, the last one dating back to 2020, while Itas Trentino will aim for its second consecutive trophy, as well as fourth in total.

The vice-champions of Italy are first with full points after 5 games in the SuperLega Credem Banca standings, while the vice-champions of Europe, holders of the tricolor trophy, chase the Block Devils with five lengths of delay and one more game played. A distance that on a psychological level will not weigh in the semi-final. The Umbrian battleship also confirmed on Thursday evening in advance that it also has quality resources on the bench, showing however that it is not exempt from voltage drops. Similarly, the Gialloblù showed on Wednesday at PalaPanini that they knew how to step up when Matey Kaziyski, in a new role as opposite, and Alessandro Michieletto light up together.

It will be an Azzurri Del Monte® Super Cup: three World Champions in Cucine Lube Civitanova jersey: the middle blocker Simone Anzani, the spiker Mattia Bottolo and the “Best Libero” of the World Championship Fabio Balaso. The titled Lube are joined by the newest member of the squad Ionut Ambrose, Under-20 European Champion in September, and Mattia Gottardo, Under-22 continental champion in July. The former Padova spiker will face in the semifinal the Captain of the winning Under22 selection Tommaso Rinaldi, also elected “Best Spiker” of the competition. Very high concentration of gold medals also in the other semifinal, with the Sir Safety Susa Perugia who will have the captain, best setter and MVP of the world championship Simone Giannelli, as well as the returning Roberto Russo, while the Itas Trentino he will always be able to count on the trio Michieletto-Sbertoli-Lavia, as well as the Under20 European Champion (and best libero) Gabriele Laurenzano. These are joined by the European Gold of a year ago Alessandro Piccinelli, in addition to the countless protagonists of the world championships who play in the four Finalists.
