Società sportiva che nasce nel 1970 con la denominazione di Cus Catania che però non ha nulla a che fare col Cus che nel 74 arriva in serie A. E' la società che ha dato lustro alla pallavolo catanese grazie anche allo storico tecnico Carmelo Pittera.
