Everything was supposed to be against Codyeco but at the end they’ve been able to came out from the PalaBianchin of Latina with a winning tie-break and 2 points. Codyeco reached now 19 points. A safe zone waiting for Padova match.
A sunday to remember for the more than 100 fans of the “Lupi” but the beginning was terrible: Latina is 5-0 straight awat. But this time Codyeco doesn’t lose itself; Zanini replace Idi for Kovacevic and the game changes. Kovacevic will end the set with 90% in attack and 11 points, basically winning the set on his own. Also in the second set Latina has a rushing start: 8-3, but once again Codyeco doesnt’ give up, recover and, thanks to the MVP Luca Cantagalli, wins the set 25-18. Travica, after losing for injuries Henrique and Leandro, uses Molteni and Mattioli. The match is balanced again. An incredible Biribanti send the team ahead 24-21 but the “lupi”, thanks to a great serving turn of Falasca, arrive to 24-24. But at the end the set is for Latina. In the 4th sert Latina needs to win but plays nervously. Codyeco is ahead in the score but some big referees mistakes, affect heavily Codyeco. So from a possible score of 6-10 there is an actual one of 8-9 and Latina, carried by an amazing crowd, takes advantage and close the set. Codyeco now wants the exploit and in the deciding set is powerfully back on front and arrives at 4-9. Latina is back up to the 12-12, but then a Cantagalli point, a Girbic mistake and a Kovacevic block close the match for Codyeco and get the the party started at the PalaBianchini. After 9 losses this victory is so useful for the standing and most of all for the spirit. Now the last 4 matches can be faced a little more safely even if the goal is still far.
