THE ROLE OF JUNIOR TEAMS COACHES WILL BE DISCUSSED AS WELL

For 24Minutes Volley Land, a series of meetings will be held to discuss some issues related to some of the subjects of the volleyball world. One of these appointments is scheduled for sunday the 2nd of march at 10.00 at the Molten Meeting Center, on the second floor of the Datch Forum in Assago, with a round table called: “junior teams coach: manager or educator?”
There will be three hours of discussions and thoughts about the subject related to the role played by junior teams coaches, called to face eachother on the issue of managing athelets who are phisically and technically evolving and forming the young athelets’ personality.
The meeting, organised by the Fipav Lombardia committee, will be mediated by SKY Sport vice president Lorenzo Dallari and some exceptional leaders like Andrea Anastasi and Massimo Barbolini, the national teams coaches, the ex national team coach and now Acqua Paradiso Gabeca Montichiari’s coach Julio Velasco, Oreste Vacondio and Giovanni Guidetti, coach of the women’s national German team.
Special guests will be three players who made history: Andrea Zorzi, Fabio Vullo and Claudio Galli.
The meeting is open to everyone.

ON FRIDAY THE PRESS CONFERENCE TO PRESENT THE EVENT

On friday the 22nd of february at 11.30 at the “Sala Appiani” of the Arena Civica in Milan, a press conference will be held to present the 24Minutes Volley Land and the TIM CUP A1 Final Four, scheduled for the 1st and 2nd of March 2008 at the DatchForum in Milan. For the occasion, a detailed programme of the 2008 edition will be presented with all the novelties which mark the event.
The Milan Arena Civica is situated in Via Byron 2; car park on Viale Elvezia.

Established: 1990

Points at the end of the first leg: 23, 4th in the standings

Top scorer at the end of the first leg: Igor Omrcen, 190 (12°)

History: Volley Lube’s history starts in 1990 with the Serie C. Three consecutive promotions and in the 1993/94 season the first historical appearence in Serie A2.
The top series comes a few years later: in 1995/96 the Serie A1′ journey begins. A journey that brought the team to win the Cev Cup 5 seaons later and the Champions League in 2001. The 2005/06 season is the historical one with the championship’s victory. Leading Lube Banca Marche is Fefè De Giorgi, Lube’s current coach.
The Italia Cup’s presences: From their first appearence in Serie A, volley Lube has always taken part in the Italian Cup; the only exception being for the last season which coincided with a difficult start of the championship that compromised their chance to qualify for the TIM Cup A1 from the very beginning.
The 12th times the Club partecipated in the Italian Cup have been marked by prestigious steps, like for their first one. It was the 1993/94 season, the journey stopped before Daytona Modena who then won the trophy.
The first victory came in 2000/01 against Sisley Treviso. It was the 4th of february 2001, prof. Silvano Prandi was on the bench, on court Miljkovic, Nalbert, Fei and Rosalba. Two years later, in 2003, the second Italian Cup, conquered against Treviso once again in the final played in Trento.
