Latina will take part in the “Volley in Salento Trophy” which will begin tomorrow in Tricase (south of Lecce). This tournament will inaugurate a new 800-seat gym. In the semi final on Saturday, Latina will meet Vibo Valentia at 5.30pm, while Macerata will face Taranto in the other encounter. The game for third place will take place on Sunday at 5.30pm, which will be followed by the final.
“We, as staff, are curious to see where we stand – said coach Ricci – but the players are also eager to face an opponent of the same level. We have to see how much the absence of Spairani, Van den Dries and Giombini slowed our progress down. Whatever happens, it will be fine because we know we have two more weeks of work before the start of the season”.
