Last Sunday, Vibo Valentia’s Under18 team achieved an impressive fourth place in the National finals. It’s been yet another great season for the youth department of the club led by chairman Callipo, so much so that it has become a reference in the south of Italy.
The Volley Tonno Callipo team took part in the Serie B league for the second consecutive year and managed to stay up. The same team achieved 8th place in the junior league. However, the biggest satisfaction came from the under 18 squad, which went through the regional and inter-regional phase with great authority. In the national finals in Trapani, it left Segrate, Castellana Grotte and even the holders Treviso no chance. It then beat Mirandola in the quarters before surrendering against the future champion Roma.
