Not favourite on the eve of the final, Treviso’s Under 16 team had a brilliant run all the way to the final victory. It only lost one set in the whole competition, beating Macerata in the quarters 3-0, then Castellana Grotte on the same score in the semi-final and Cuneo on yet another sweep in the final. Setter Fiorenzo Colarusso was named MVP in what was the 19th national title for Treviso at youth level.

But beyond the victory, I am proud of the boys because, from the organizers of the event to the staff of the hotel that hosted us, everyone congratulated us for the behaviour of the kids, who really deserve the Italian title in all aspects”.
