Champions League Playoffs 12 first leg
In the first leg of the Champions League Playoffs 12, Trentino came back from Belgium with a 3-0 victory over Maaseik. The Italians dominated and were not unfazed by the atmosphere of the packed Lotto Dome arena. To go through, Trentino will have to win the return leg on any score or, in case of defeat, win the Golden Set.
Macerata and Cuneo met for the first of three consecutive times in 8 days between Europe and league. Cuneo strikes first away from home with 3 unanswered sets. Omrcen and co could go through by taking the Golden Set if they were to be beaten in a week’s time.

2012 CEV Cup – Challenge Round
Monza got off to a good start in the Challenge Round by taking the first leg 3-1 in Romania against Remat Zalau. In order to make it into the semi-finals, Zanini’s men will also need a win in the return leg. Otherwise, the two teams will play their pass on the Golden Set to 15 points. Whoever goes through will take on the winner of Dinamo Moscow (Russia) versus Iraklis Thessaloniki (Greece).
