Tomorrow at 4pm (Italian time), Macerata will take on Kazan in Russia in the last game of the Champions League main phase. The two teams are already through for the 8th of finals but there will be the first place at stake. The Russians are top right now but a win at the tie-break would be enough for the Italians to steal it.
“This is the type of game I think any volleyball player would like to take part in – said Ivan Zaytsev – it does not matter that this is the last game of the first phase with both teams qualified. The fact there is first place at stake is enough to make it a great game between two top class teams. Just like in the first leg, the game will be important to understand where we stand. With a 3-0 win we had already proved we could do it with the absolute best European teams”.
