Castellana Grotte were defeated last weekend by a greatly impressive Macerata team, which was without Savani and Kovar (injured) as well as Podrascanin rested. But the hosts gave everything and cannot be criticized. The coming opponents are of a certain quality but will not be mission impossible like against the Italian champions.
“I knew that whatever line-up they’d have on court, that would not make much difference – said coach Gulinelli as Castellana was without Cester and lost Sabbi at the end of the first set (both should be fit for the coming game) – I’m only sorry we let it go in the third after playing two good sets.
