Vibo Valentia is back to winning ways and it did it by beating Modena, another team that was not having the greatest of run. A straight set victory as coach Blengini could line-up Steuerwald and Ogurcak who recovered just on time for the encounter.
Gianlorenzo Blengini (Coach Tonno Callipo Calabria Vibo Valentia): “Great performance from the boys. We believed in it and fought for every ball. Gavotto was terrific, but everyone put their soul to get this result. Injuries keep giving us nightmares though, we lost Forni and Cisolla during the game and we had Ogurcak in really precarious condition. I had never experienced such problems so congratulations to the players”.
Angelo Lorenzetti (Coach Casa Modena): “The counter attack did not work tonight. We let our opponent play without putting any pressure and in the end we paid the price”.
