Perugia reached an agreement on a two-year deal with the promising talent from the USA, Aaron Russell. Born in 1993, 205cm tall (8’4), he has a been firing on all cylinders at the early stages of the World League. He has a big potential in attack and will join Fromm and Kaliberda among the spikers in position four.
“Many teams were after him – said coach Castellani – But the great work done by President Sirci, sport director Vujevic and GM Rizuto allowed us to have him. He has a lot of talent, he’s very young and I think he is the perfect fit for our system because he’s over two meters tall, has an all-around game and does well in reception”.
