Monza ended the year with a special performance in the Italian Cup quarter-final first leg. Vacondio’s men found themselves 2-0 down against the mighty league leaders of Modena but they managed to find a way back to force a tie-break. The breakthrough was not completed but that was definitely a special outing considering this was the club’s first ever Italian Cup participation in history.
