Trento, July 17th, 2015

The 2015 market’ summer session has recorded another important entry for Trentino Volley: the Company Champion of Italy has in fact ensured the Slovenian spiker Tine Urnaut.
This is an important hit for the market: in fact the player, whom during the last season wore the T-shirt of Top Volley Latina, had a large number of requests from Italy and abroad but decided to sign a two year contract with Trento. Twenty-seven years old in September, 201 cm of high and native from Slovenj Gradec, Urnaut will make available all the wealth of international experience accumulated over the last eight years of his career, mostly spent in Italy (Piacenza, San Giustino Vibo Valentia and Latina), but also with important appearances in Poland (at the Zaksa Kędzierzyn-Koźle), Turkey (in 2013/14 season with the T-shirt of Arkas Izmir, which also challenged Trentino Volley in the Champions League), Slovenia (he grew up in Bled) and Greece where while he was playing with Olympiacos Piraeus became a close friend of Mitar Djuric, who will be in Trento next season as well.
During the last championship he has shown once again his qualities as a very gifted player from the physical point of view but also from complete technical side, with statistics of excellence not only in attack (fourth bomber of Super League with 368 points in 24 matches), but also in serve (third aceman after Gasparini and Kaziyski) and reception.
Urnaut will be the first Slovenian in the history of Trentino Volley and will arrive in Trento only after playing the 2015 European Championship with Slovenia (this year coached by Andrea Giani).
“Trentino Volley continues to have great appeal in the international volleyball scene: further confirmation comes from the assignment of Urnaut”– said the President Diego Mosna. “With the excellent level achieved in the previous season and despite receiving many offers, the player eventually decided to accept our offer because he considers our Company and Trento the ideal places to live two seasons as a protagonist. I can only be satisfied with his choice, welcome Tine.”
“As soon as I received the proposal of Trentino Volley all the other one have passed into the background” – admitted Tine Urnaut. “It was an easy decision because, despite having met it only as opponent, I know this company and I always liked the spirit and the organization that you can count on. The project, the coach, the opportunity to stay here for at least two years have convinced me easily: this is the best place to play volleyball and grow up. I will wear the T-shirt of a glorious club in order to improve myself but also to win, right away. We will be a young team but already very determined, eager to do well in every match. There will be many games to play, but personally I am particularly pleased to find the climate of the CEV Champions League.”
“Urnaut is a complete player, good at all the skills; he has already demonstrated great potential and with that we can grow further” – says the coach of Trentino Volley Radostin Stoytchev. “I’m obviously pleased that he chose our team to try to make a new leap; I am always happy when in Trento arrive players who have not yet been very successful but that prove they have a great desire to win. Tine definitely belongs to this category and I think he may be the right athlete to perfectly fit in our teamplay; his great friendship with Djuric also has an added value because Mitar will give a big hand to emphasize right away with the environment”

Tine Urnaut will be officially presented to the press on Monday, July 20th at 5.00 pm at the Trophy Hall of Trentino Volley Point in Via Trener 2 in Trento.
