Sora’s first home game was extremely encouraging. The hosts dominated Civita Castellana 3-1 as Dutch outside hitter Sjoerd Hoogendoorn made his debut for the club. His understanding with the setter and the rest of his teammates was surprisingly good considering he arrived just a few days ago as he spent the summer with his national team.

“The boys played better compared to last Sunday – said coach Colluci – The good level of the opposite team definitely helped. The level of our roster improved too with the addition of Hoogendoorn. On the other hand, we have to improve in the block-dig department but we have time to work on that”.
