Luca Spirito flew from Dubai to Lausanne to join his new Verona teammates. The Under 23 player came back from the Emirates with a bronze medal won in the World Championships.
“This bronze medal smells like gold to me – he said – In a month and a half, our group turned into a family. We were always together, all day long, and we spent hours in the gym. Between players and staff, we had an amazing group and that helped us to reach our goal. Now I have to focus on Verona and start working right away. We have a superb team, with top level players, hopefully I’ll be able to do a good job to help the team. I think Verona is one of the strongest teams in Italy and Europe, there really are top class players”.
