The pair of setters will be composed of Simone Giannelli and the latest Trento addition, Georgi Bratoev. He is the twin brother of Valentin, who played at Trento in 2010-11 helping the club win a historical treble of League title, Champions League and World Club Championships. As for Georgi, he can already boast more than a hundred caps with the Bulgarian national team. He won the bronze at the European championships 2009 and silver in the recent European Games in Baku 2015. Very much used to individual acknowledgements too: he was named best setter in the World League 2012 and the Olympic Games in London, where they finished fourth.

“We talked about this possibility with coach Stoytchev, who I know since he coached Bulgaria, at the start of June after a friendly Radostin came to see – explained Georgi Braotev – He told me about his plans and asked me if I was available. My brother told me a lot of good about Trento. I am extremely excited to be part of a club that wrote the history of the game in the past eight years”.
