Tomorrow afternoon at 4pm, live on the Lega Volley Channel (Sportube.tv), there will be the final of the 25th edition of the Del Monte Junior League – Massimo Serenelli trophy – in Castellana Grotte.
And there will be an unprecedented final between Civitanova and Modena. Two tie-breaks were needed in the semi-finals as Civitanova had the better of Segrate while Modena got rid of Castellana Grotte.
Civitanova will go after their fourth triumph in the competition (they won it in 2000, 2007 and 2013), while this would be a first for Modena. The latter, however, has already met Civitanova in the group stage and won 3-0.
Former Italian international, libero Alessandro Paparoni, will try to win his second Junior League. The first was as a player in 2000 in Abano Terme and now as an assistant coach. Giovanni Rosichini, the Civitanova head coach, was already on the bench in the club’s two previous successes in 2007 and 2013.
