Cantù has signed the first Australian player in the history of the club: Jordan Richards. Born on September 25, 1993, the spiker played last season in Switzerland where he had an excellent year. Already part of his national team, the young talent comes to the Italian A2 hoping to keep getting better.
Here is what coach Massimo Della Rosa said about him: “Richards is an extremely athletic player with exceptional leaping ability and he’s very quick in his fundamentals. I’ve seen him during a camp of the Australian national team in Italy and he impressed me. This is an interesting player who wanted to come to Italy at all cost. He’s really eager to emerge in a competitive league like ours and with his qualities I am sure he will succeed”.
