The first part of season ended with a 3-2 win in Molfetta. Trento collected 11 wins for only two defeats, 3-1 in Piacenza and 3-2 in Modena. Lanza and co are second, just one point behind the leaders of Civitanova. Among the various stats, Trento’s blocking ability stands out with 119 registered (fourth, just ten behind the leader Ravenna, that is 2.33 per set). In terms of individual achievements, setter Simone Giannelli and Tine Urnaut have been terrific. Giannelli confirmed he was an all-around player, not just a distributor, he tallied 29 blocks (fifth in Italy), while he’s 11th in the ace category with 17. Meanwhile, Trento’s top scorer is Filippo Lanza with 166 points with 50.5% (10 blocks, 16 aces).
