Aurispa Alessano
After the bad result of last season, the club changed almost all the roster, keeping only young prospect Davide Russo from last season. Paolo Tofoli is the brand new coach arriving after the Italian Cup won with Siena.  Captain Tomassetti came back from Taviano, Bisci and opposite from Montenegro Culafic are brand new players, together with Bartolomiej Lipinsky, Alberini e Lugli, Lazzaretto, Russo, Loglisci, Usai, Peluso and Cordano. The Palasport of Tricase will be as usual a warm place with warm fans, looking forward a better season.
 
Sigma Aversa
After first Serie A season after 30 years, Sigma Aversa is happy and with a bright future. In last season they grabbed the save, participating also to Pool Promozione, a great result for the club. In this season arrived some great players as spaniard Alejander Vigil Gonzalez and bulgarian Alexander Simeonov. Together with coach Pasquale Bosco’s team also former Tuscania Riccardo Pinelli, who wil play with Andrea Santangelo. From Napoli Aversa confirmed captain Enrico Libraro (14th season in A2 form him), Mario Giacobelli and libero Marco Vacchiano. Brand new players are Tommaso Grassi, opposite Filippo Boesso, middle blocker Stefano Catena, spiker Simone Baldari and youngsters Davide Montò and libero Emanuele Marra.
 
Caloni Agnelli Bergamo
Caloni Agnelli reached playoff semifinals in last 2016/2017 Serie A2 season, so in this upcoming 2017/2018 season they are aiming to improve that result. And this it means to reach the final, looking forward the promotion in Superleague. Still with coach Gianluca Graziosi, serbian setter Igor Jovanovic and dutch opposite Sjoerd Hoogendoorn, now brand new captain. Confirmed also Marco Pierotti, who will play together with  Ludovico Dolfo. In Bergamo they will have also Antonio Cargioli and Damiano Valsecchi, arriving from Civita. Together with Franzoni coach Graziosi will alternate libero Luca Innocenti. From the bench young setter Longo, middle blocker Cioffi, spikers Albergati, Carminati and young Maffeis, il più giovane del gruppo.
 
Mosca Bruno Bolzano
First historical Serie A2 season for Avs Mosca Bruno Bolzano, a team and a club born in 2013. In 2003-2005 there were Brillrover  in Serie A2. Coached by Andrea Burattini since 2014, qrriving from the youth leagues of Trentino Volley. B2 and B1, and Serie B arriving to last season, where Bolzano clinched the great promotion to the top volleyball of Serie A. In this season the setter will be veteran and expert Davide Quartarone, in the middle dutchman Boswinkel, spikers Zappoli e Galabinov. In the middle and libero Bolzano can count on Paoli, Bleggi, Bressan and Thei.
 
Centrale Del Latte McDonald’s Brescia
Fourth Serie A2 season for Centrale del Latte McDonald’s Brescia. The club renowned the roster and the staff, looking forward to better luck in this next upcoming season. With Coach Zambonardi there will be assistant  Roberto Rotari and young prospect Pietro Margutti from Club Italia. Captain Tiberti is completely back after the injury. With him there will be opposite Giacomo Bellei from Castellana Grotte. There will be veteran Alberto Cisolla with new players as Lorenzo Codarin from Potenza Picena, together with Davide Esposito and libero Fusco.
 
Pool Libertas Cantù
Pool Libertas Cantù will play his sixth Serie A2 season with a young roster. Together with veteran Dario Monguzzi (brand new captain, 12th season with Libertas) and Gabriele Robbiati (vicecaptain, back in Cantù after the stint in Aversa), all the players are 22 years old or less. Brasilian Caio, Ricardo, Roberto Cominetti. Brand new setter is Lorenzo Piazza, together with Mirko Baratti. Coach is Luciano Cominetti, back to Pool Libertas for the third time.
 
Materdominivolley.it Castellana Grotte
After the bad end of last season, and above all after the win of youth Italian Championship (third in a row), Materdominivolley.it Castellana Grotte approaches the fifth Serie A2 season in a row with a brand new coach , Maurizio Castellano, player for Castellana from 2012 until 2015. 10 players out of 13 are brand new for Materdomini, with brand new captain Alessio Fiore and brand new opposite Stefano Patriarca, switching role from middle blocker. In the team the young players coming from The Academy of Volleyball directed by Vincenzo Fanizza.

Messaggerie Bacco Catania
Messaggerie Bacco Catania is a rookie team in Serie A2 UnipolSai, after a great Serie B season. Messaggerie Bacco confirmed the core of the team who clinched the promotion last season, Franco Arezzo, Roberto Arena, Francesco Pricoco, Andrea Torre, Emanuele Spampinato. With them, the brand new players, Dusan Krogh Bonacic from Chile, Leonardo Razzetto, Francesco Sideri, Matteo Pizzichini, Danilo De Santis, Juan Ignatio Finoli. Together with them other two players from Sicily, Federico Reina and Stefano Chillemi, che completano il roster. All the team will be once again under the coach Gianpietro Rigano, who extended with Catania after last season’s great result. President Natale Aiello wants to bring back the enthusiasm for volleyball in Catania, and this is the right way to do it. 
 
Gioiella Micromilk Gioia Del Colle
After seven long years, Gioia del Colle is back in Serie A2. Thanks to president Nino Giordano, the city is back into the top volleyball of the country, as they were used to belong. New Real Volley Gioia won Italian Cup Serie B and clinched the promotion in Serie A2, and now they are ready to face this new challenge, under coach Vincenzo Mastrangelo. Thanks to DS Matheus, the biancorossi will have a good roster.  The combo Cetrullo-Grassano, with Marchiani as setter (Bernardi backup), Del Vecchio, Joventino, Anselmo, Luppi, Erati, Scopelliti, Casulli as libero (De Santis backup) and Link. The right balance of veterans and young prospects.
 
Videx Grottazzolina
Second season in Serie A2 UnipolSai for young club M&G Scuola Pallavolo. In last Serie A2 season they reached a suffered but deserved save. Grottazzolina will represent the territory and the county at this level, in the small counties of Fermo and Ascoli. The target in the season is clear. Clinch the save. 10 players out of 14 are native of the county, 6 of them born and raised with M&G youth leagues. Brand new players as Michele Morelli, middle blocker from Asculi Gaspari, libero from Macerata Calistri and spikers De Fabritiis and Richards, australian national team player Richards the only foreign player of the roster.
 
Geosat Geovertical Lagonegro
2017/18 Serie A2 season, the second for Lagonegro, will start from coach Falabella, the key man of the team and the club, together with Denora and ds Tortorella.  5 players confirmed from last season, Captain Giosa, libero Fortunato, and spikers Boscaini and Maiorana together with argentinian Kindgard. In the summer the team inked precious player opposite Milushev, De Paola (Aversa) Fabi (Brescia), and libero Porcelli (Molfetta). Together with these players, also some younsters are ready to play, Copelli, Leone, Amouah and Ribezzo. With these players, the save is the target, for Lagonegro.
 
Acqua Fonteviva Massa
After a great Serie B season in 2016/2017, 26 wins in 26 games played,  Acqua Fonteviva Massa will start his 2017/2018 Serie A2 campaign with great enthusiasm and ambition. Acqua Fonteviva Massa is a young team in this upcoming season, 25 years of average for them. They will play with setter Giacomo Leoni, coming from Ravenna, Omar Biglino, from Potenza Picena, and Augusto Quarta, coming from Castellana Grotte. Three players from last season,  liberos Riccardo Bortolini and Andrea Briata, and middle blocker Filippo Nannini together with Briglia and Bernieri. The target of the club is to consolidate this position into the italian volleyball, becoming the key team of the Tuscany coast.
 
VBC Mondovì
In last 2016/2017 Serie A2 season, Vbc Mondovì was great, clinching the third place in Girone Blu with 34 points, clinching the spot at Pool Promozione and conquering the quarterfinals at the playoffs, eliminated by powerhouse Emma Villas Siena. Coach Mauro Barisciani extended, and brand new players arrived, as Mario Mercorio and Luca Borgogno. Confirmed Michele Parusso and Edoardo Picco in the middle, Captain Emiliano Cortellazzi and Matteo Paoletti. The target of Mondovì is clear, clinching the playoff for the promotion.
 
Sieco Service Ortona
Sieco Service Impavida Ortona 2017/2018 is brand new. Brand new setter, captain Andrea Lanci, together with young setter Alessio Sitti. Confirmed middle blocker Michele Simoni, and spikers Pietro di Meo and Janis Peda, together with libero Giovanni Provvisiero. New players also are Giuseppe Ottaviani, Simmaco Tartaglione, opposite Milan Bencz and Venezuela’s Ivan Zanettin. New players in the middle are Michael Menicali and Matteo Zanini, together with libero Giancarlo Pesare. Coach Nunzio Lanci and assistant Mariano Costa, together with scout-man Ottalagana and physiotherapist Antonella Di Sciullo, have been confirmed for next upcoming Serie A2 season.
 
GoldenPlast Potenza Picena
Sixth season in Serie A2 UnipolSai for GoldenPlast Potenza Picena, another season at Eurosuole Forum, after the save clinched last season at playout. More young players for Volley Potentino, still with coach Adriano Di Pinto and his staff, Luca Martinelli, Michele Massera and Margherita Flamini.  Confirmed Mirco Cristofaletti, young Federico Bianchini and Luca Bucciarelli in the middle. Alot of brand new players, for GoldenPlast, veteran setter Natale Monopoli, Anjun Lavanga, Fabio Bisi, Yuri Romanò, Michele Marinelli, Felice Sette and Paolo Di Silvestre. Strong down the net with Graziano Maccarone and Jacopo Larizza. Completing the roster, Alessandro Toscani and Francesco “Ciccio” D’Amico.
 
Conad Reggio Emilia
After clinching the playoff in last 2016/2017 Serie A2 season, Conad Reggio Emilia Volley Tricolore will start again with brand new coach Henky (gld medallist at Atlanta 96 olympics, in the legendary final versus Italy), together with assistant Paolo Zambolin. Only one player from last season has been confirmed, libero Davide Morgese, in Reggio Emilia since 4 seasons ago. Some players are back to Reggio as Andrea Ippolito and setter Simone Bonante. The brand new players are puertorican national team setter Arturo Iglesias, libero Michele Raffaele, Tim Held, Alberto Bellini, Lorenz Koraimann, Nicola Sesto, Alessandro Arienti, Matteo Bortolozzo, Jacopo Ferrari, Samuel Onwuelo and Davide Cester. The first target of Held is to find the right chemistry of the group, on the court and in the locker room.
 
Ceramica Scarabeo GCF Roma
Ceramica Scarabeo GCF Roma is Civita Castellana, from Viterbo’s county to the big metropolitan city, to the top volleyball in the world, italian volleyball Serie A. Civita Castellana, Monterotondo and Montefiascone, and now, 2017/2018 Serie A2 season, in Roma. Still with coach Alessandro Spanakis, confirmed for the fourth season, Ceramica Scarabeo GCF Roma has some brand new and interesting players as setter Zoppellari, opposite Padura Diaz, spikers Tiozzo and Snippe, middle blockers Franceschini and Rau, and experienced libero Romiti.  A mix of veterans and young players, with only one target, to have fun on a volleyball court and give to the Roma and Lazio’s fans a reason to follow volleyball.
 
Club Italia Crai Roma
Once again Club Italia Crai will play in Serie A2 UnipolSai. Coach Monica Cresta will guide the federal team together with Simone Roscini, with the team in last two seasons. The group will be with 18 players, all of italian national team under 19, silver medallist at last European Championships. together with players born into 1999, in the roster there will be some other players from 2000 and 2001. The most talented and important players of this upcoming season will be Captain Roberto Russo and setter Nicola Salsi, both born in 1997.
 
Kemas Lamipel Santa Croce
“Lupi” are back in Serie A2 in last season, playing a good season, participating to Pool Promozione, missing the playoffs but clinching a quiet save in the season. Kemas Lamipel Santa Croce will count on this season on coach  Michele Totire former Club Italia Crai manager. Two brand new brasilians, Hage and Da Silva, and Zonca and Miscione. Proud extensions to Captain Elia, Ciulli, Colli, Benaglia, Taliani and Tamburo. Acquarone, former player of Santa Croce, will be back with Lupi in this upcoming season together with Crescini and libero Andreini. The target of the team is to reach at least the first four placings in the Girone, looking forward to the playoff and Italian Cup.
 
Emma Villas Siena
In his third season in Serie A2, Emma Villas Siena will be, in this upcoming seaosn, the real favourite of the tournament. A real powerhouse who will be the team to defeat for the other teams. Last 29th january Captain Fabroni lifted the Serie A2 Del Monte Italian Cup, and these kind of moments would be repeated by Siena. Some important adds in the off season for Emma -villas, the coach is Bruno Bagnoli, on the opposite side 33 year old slovakian Martin Nemec, who won Superleague in 2015 with Diatec Trentino. Cesare Gradi, Michele Fedrizzi, Filippo Vedovotto, brasilian national team Alisson Melo,  Alessandro Graziani, Captain Marco Fabroni, Simone Di Tommaso, Roberto Braga, Vincenzo Spadavecchia, Federico Bargi, italian national team Olympic bronze medallist libero Andrea Giovi, Filippo Pochini, a great roster under a great coach, who will have as main target, to double the win in Italian Cup, and obviously to clinch a Superleague spot for next season.
 
Monini Spoleto
Spoleto lost in the final last season by the hands of Bcc Castellana Grotte. A dream smashed in the very end, but nowin SuperLega accarezzata e poi sfuggita all’ultimo pallone della stagione 2016/2017 non ha minato l’entusiasmo di una piazza che si appresta a vivere la seconda stagione consecutiva in Serie A2 (la quinta della storia da quando Monini è main sponsor della società) con rinnovate ambizioni. L’obiettivo è quello di riempire ogni domenica il Palarota e far aumentare l’entusiasmo di partita in partita, perché grazie al grande tifo di Spoleto il sogno SuperLega è certamente concretizzabile. La squadra è stata rinnovata in modo importante, con quattro innesti dalla massima serie (Corvetta, Bari, Giannotti e Galliani) e un nazionale canadese fresco di medaglia di bronzo in World League (Van Berkel). Accanto a loro i confermatissimi Zamagni, Marino e Bertoli e alcuni giovani del territorio cresciuti proprio nelle fila della Monini Marconi, a testimonianza di quanto la società creda nel settore giovanile. Con un mix di giocatori così, uno staff affiatato e competente e il sostegno dell’intera città, nulla è impossibile per questa Monini Spoleto.
 
Pag Taviano
Taviano is a village with great volleyball tradition, and now in the top volleyball of the world, Serie A, this tradition found the best expression. Coach Fabrizio Licchelli, veteran of 20 years of benches,  will have a renowned roster. Confirmed opposite Luca Bigarelli and middle blocker Donato Musardo, the brand new players are Francesco Astarita and Giacomo Percoco, spaniard Francisco Ruiz, Matteo Beltrami, Antonio Smiriglia, Mirko Torsello, new setters Giulio Mariella and Pierpaolo Piedepalumbo, Vito Bruno and captain Francesco Avelli. Taviano will fight to stay into the big league, as the tradition says.
 
Maury’s Italiana Assicurazioni Tuscania
Maury’s Italiana Assicurazioni had a great 2016/2017 season, still under coach Paolo Montagnani. The team and the roster changed alot in the off season, alot of brand new players and few extensions. Lorenzo Calonico, Pierlorenzo Buzzelli, Dmitriy Shavrak, Matej Cernic, Marco Cosimo Piscopo, Roberto Festi, Matteo Pedron, californian Eric Mochalski, who wil debut in Italy. Liberos are Federico Bonami and Alessandro Sorgente. The young players will be Daniele Cro’, Nicolò Seveglievich and Mattia Della Rosa, at their first experience in Serie A.
