Next wednesday 4th april at PalaEvangelisti Sir Colussi Sicoma Perugia will face strong russians Lokomotiv Novosibirsk, where they will play Game 2 in the far Siberia next wednesday 11th april at 14.30 in Italy. Will be a tough challenge for Lorenzo Bernardi’s team, who will need to put on the court their best performance to defeat probably the top team of the Playoff 6 squad.

Looking out for a Champions League Final Four spot in Kazan next 12th and 13th may, two italian teams, Cucine Lube Civitanova and Trentino Diatec. The two Superleague playoffs finalists in last season, will face each other in this interesting challenge, who will put one of them to the big event in Russia. First game next wednesday 4th april at Eurosuole Forum, with Game 2 at PalaTrento next wednesday 11th april.

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FORMAT

Two preliminary rounds (2nd e 3rd Round) will choose 20 teams for the Pool Round, 5 groups with 4 teams.
First and second of each group, together with the best 2 thirds. CEV will choos the Final Four host in these 12 teams, who will be one of the four teams, and third best tshird will replace the hosting team.
Final rounds will be PlayOffs 12, PlayOffs 6 and Final Four.

Fox International Channels Italy has the tv rights of Champions League, and will broadcast the games of italian teams on Fox Sports HD, 204 SKY, Fox Sport Plus, 205 SKY and Sky Sport 3 HD, 203 SKY (all games are available on streaming on www.laola1.tv)

2018 Challenge Cup

21 years ago, 3rd march 1997 Porto Area Ravenna, coached by Daniele Ricci, defeated 3-0 turkish Netas Istanbul in CEV Cup final, lifting the last Cup in Ravenna history. Now Bunge Ravenna will have the chance to win another Cup to add to the big palmares to the club, facing Olympiacos Piraeus in Challenge Cup final. Game 1 will take place tomorrow 4th april at Pala De Andrè in Ravenna with Game 2 in Piraeus at big Peace and Friendship Stadium, next 11th april.
