During his Board meeting, European Volleyball confederation CEV decided to end this season without playing, canceling the last event scheduled, next 16th may in Berlin with the Champions League Superfinals.

Cucine Lube Civitanova, Sir Sicoma Monini Perugia and Trentino Itas in Champions League, Leo Shoes Modena in CEV Cup, and Allianz Powervolley Milano in Challenge Cup will not be able to finish their international campaign.

CEV will provide the 80% of the season budget to the teams of the three cups, keeping the same money awards of next season, securing a plan of 11.5 millions euro for the volleyball in Europe.

Lega Volley Italian Volleyball League CEO Massimo Righi said: “CEV gave an important sign of friendship, respect and solidarity. We are living in a complicated situation, and obviously we are ready to contribute to the European Confederation to plan next season”.
