It’s time for a new test for Sir Safety Susa Perugia.
After yesterday’s double training session, this afternoon the Block Devils will have a technical training session at PalaBarton and tomorrow, again at the Pian di Massiano facility, they will develop some aspects of team play with Kemas Lamipel Santa Croce.
The group available to coach Anastasi has been enriched with a staff. Directly from Slovenia, where he was involved in the world championships, Cuban opposite Jesus Herrera landed last night in Perugia. The left-handed Caribbean will already be at the disposal of the Perugia technical staff today and leads to eight the Block Devils of the first team present at PalaBarton.
So tomorrow afternoon (starting around 5 pm and free admission with the Juventus club which recommends the use of a mask for those who want to watch in the stands) friendly test with Santa Croce, one of the most accredited teams in the A2 series led on the bench by coach Mastrangelo (a piece of the season also on the bench of Sir Volley in Bastia in Serie B1) and with different elements, such as the director Acquarone, the opposite Motzo and the central Compagnoni, of quality and perspective.
Staying at home Sir, coach Anastasi is working, as regards team play (and with all the difficulties of the case given the small number of athletes present), in particular on correlations and movements in the break phase with one eye with regard to the wall and the defense. And probably, net of a still “work in progress” condition and an amalgam still to be researched, those are the aspects of the game on which the Juventus coach will want to see some progress and improvement compared to the joint training sessions of the past week.
Always with the invaluable help of Natale Monopoli, still attached to the Block Devils for this week, tomorrow for the friendly test the opposites Rychlicki and Herrera, the middle blockers Solè and Mengozzi, the spikers Leon and Cardenas and the libero Colaci and Piccinelli will be available.
