In recent years, the men’s volleyball club of the City of Cuneo has embarked on a path full of ambitious projects that see the biancoblù youth sector as the protagonist. As stated a few nights ago by president Gabriele Costamagna, during the presentation of the 2022/23 season, “Cuneo Volley has increased investments with the aim of making the nursery a solid base that supports the first team. One of these was to open a guesthouse with four athletes who will participate in the Under 17 / Serie D and Under 19 / Serie C championships ». The project, however, has broader views that will allow to welcome more and more athletes who want to make volleyball their profession, without forgetting the importance of the study “the idea is that it can be transformed into a self-financed and sustainable initiative, that is a sort of college that provides for the payment of a monthly fee to cover a series of costs, giving them the opportunity to pursue a career as professionals ».

«Setting up a guesthouse is a very important sign for a company like ours, or one that wants to grow! Welcoming athletes even outside the region who want to have an experience of both technical and human value within our youth sector is the first step in a medium-term path. The Club should be thanked for this investment which has certainly been a great input for volleyball at the regional level and beyond. Furthermore, this means that there will be project continuity on the biancoblù nursery and it is an interesting fact, as there are very few realities in Italy with a service like this ». – Daniele Vergnaghi, head of the Cuneo Volley youth sector.
