From this morning at the BLM Group Arena, Itas Trentino is training for the first time, after fifty days of preparation, in full preparation in view of the debut in SuperLega Credem Banca 2022/23. In anticipation of the first regular season match (Sunday 2 October, 6pm at home against Siena), Angelo Lorenzetti also welcomed the only player who was still missing in the group in order to have the entire new roster made up of fourteen players available.
The Under 20 European Champion libero Gabriele Laurenzano has in fact officially started his experience in the yellow and blue jersey with the two sessions today (weights in the morning, ball in the afternoon) proposed by the weekly program on the day of resumption of training. The staff will also carry out two sessions on Wednesday and Friday, while on Thursday and Saturday the team will work only in the afternoon.
“When I saw, in recent weeks, the Italy of Lavia, Michieletto and Sbertoli win the World title, I told myself that I didn’t want to be outdone and that I too wanted to arrive in Trento with an important gold medal to celebrate together with the my new teammates – explained Gabriele Laurenzano -. I succeeded and I am very happy; I could not have started my first week better. We work in the gym to pursue our goals and it was great today to wake up and realize that we have won everything: the Youth Olympics and the European Under 20 “.
“A long and demanding season awaits us, but for a young player like me to be able to play all the main events, including the Super Cup and the Champions League, it will be great – concluded -. I’m looking forward to Sunday, for the home debut with Siena “.
