After a year of absence, the spiker Alessandro Galliani returns to the Pool Libertas Cantù. Born in 1998, in the last season he gained an important experience in SuperLega in Vero Volley Monza, a team with which he also won the last edition of the CEV Cup.

“Alessandro Galliani is going to further strengthen the spikers department – comments Coach Francesco Denora -: he comes from an important season in Monza in SuperLega, and has made further progress compared to his previous year in Cantù. I am really satisfied with his arrival: he further increases the value of the squad, and in a championship of this level it becomes fundamental “.

“I am very happy to return to Cantù – says the striker from Brianza -: as soon as my agent told me of Ambrogio’s interest (President Molteni, ed), I immediately said yes. I was sorry to leave Pool Libertas after the good season we had done, also considering all the difficulties related to Covid, and therefore it was really easy to accept his proposal, also because I felt really good. With Vero Volley Monza we took away the satisfaction of winning the CEV Cup, and training every day with the great champions who made up the roster allowed me to learn a lot. I feel improved in various ways, given that the level has always been very high, and I felt very comfortable there too ”.

“I have already talked to Coach Denora – he continues -, who is a coach I did not know, and he made a very good impression on me. Serie A2 promises to be a very demanding championship: there are teams that have made important signings, and have set up almost SuperLega roster. I think our goal will be to play well and have fun, and do the best we can. Achieving the Play-Offs could be a goal within our reach: we are a good team, each of us can play our chances, and I’m sure we can build a good group ”.
