A.S. Volley Lube announces the engagement with the annual loan formula in the role of spiker of the U21 world champion Mattia Gottardo, who grew up from the side in the youth academies of Kioene Padova and then landed on a permanent basis as a free player for the first team from Padua, where he distinguished himself for athleticism and temperament.
The athlete, born in 2001 of 190 cm, a native of Cittadella in the province of Padua, followed in the footsteps of his brother Luca, who played in the Padua team from 2006 to 2011. The first step for Mattia was the U13. After the victory of the U14 Scudetto and the U15 Boy League, Gottardo made his bones in the Serie B and U20 of the Venetian Club and then winked at the seniors team with which he played the Play Offs 5th place of the top series as owner in the 2020/21 vintage. Confidence renewed in the 2021/22 season which saw him as the protagonist of the second Juventus line in the SuperLega with the world championship interlude in Sardinia, where in October he triumphed in the U21 World Cup Final against Russia.
