Three young volleyball players from the Emma Villas Volley youth sector will be joined this year in the first team of the Sienese team that will play the Superlega championship, starting on Sunday 2 October in Trento (while the second match will be on Sunday 9 October, at PalaEstra, against Perugia) . This is Alessio Fontani (in the photo), 191 cm hitter, born in 2006; Alessandro Augero, 2 meters high power plant, class of 2007; and Federico Pellegrini, 191 cm hitter, born in 2004.

“It is certainly a source of satisfaction for all of us to know that three guys who grew up here will be part of the first team in the Superlega championship – declares Luigi Banella, head of the youth sector of Emma Villas Volley. – It means that we have done something and that the work carried out has produced results. Fontani and Augero have just played the Trophy of the Regions with the representative of Tuscany Under 16 who won the second place in the event. They both played starting points and did very well. The company’s attention to the youth sector is a very important signal and it is significant for all of us. In this way it is possible to make those young people who have at home grow up. This year we will also have a new technical director of the youth sector like Alessandro Fammelume with whom we aim to grow further. Fontani, Augero and Pellegrini are three young people who have a passion for volleyball. They want to improve and do well, they are always there, they love to play volleyball. They therefore have not only technical skills but also the motivation that is fundamental to improve ”.
