The 2022 edition of the Club World Cup kicks off today, Wednesday 7 December, and will also take place in Betim, Brazil on this occasion. Trentino Volley (with the official denomination of Trentino Itas which will be adopted for the entire event) will be the protagonist for the tenth time in its history of the championship tournament, included in Pool B (group stage). The Gialloblù team will play the two matches of the first phase on Thursday 8 December at 10 pm Italian time (against the Iranians of Paykan Tehran) and on Friday 9 December at 10.15 pm Italian time (against the hosts Itambé Minas). Both will be broadcast live on Sky Sport Arena and in live streaming on the OTT Volleyball World TV platform.
THE GAME FORMULA The 2022 Club World Cup is divided into a first group stage and a subsequent Final Four. In the first phase the six participating teams are divided into two Pools; Perugia and the two Brazilians Sada Cruzeiro and Volei Renata were drawn in group A, while Trentino Itas, Paykan Tehran (Iran) and Itambé Minas (Brazil) were included in group B. The top two in each group qualify for the semi-finals.
